	Modeled after houses in the English countryside, the Cape Cod architectural style is one of the oldest, traditionally American Architectural styles in existence.
	The classic New England Colonial home is two stories with a door in the center of the building. It’s square with symmetrical windows and a chimney in the middle to maximize indoor heating.
	The contemporary home, a balance of style and utility, is pleasant and livable. It can be stylish without being intimidating and elegant without being stuffy.
	These single story homes have low-pitched gable roofs and a long, narrow shape reflective of the rambling prairies of the West. Ranch homes often have attached garages and wide porches.
